Rebuilding I-93 Salem to Manchester

I-93 provides a critical link between the communities in south central New Hampshire and the greater Boston metropolitan area. When completed, this project will dramatically improve this important stretch of highway, reducing congestion and increasing safety for decades to come. CHA was responsible for many aspects of this multi-disciplined consulting contract supporting the New Hampshire Department of Transportation's reconstruction of I-93 between Salem and Manchester. Working within the constraints of DOT style guidelines, CHA successfully developed a public information website on a tight timeframe that provided a compelling public image for the construction project, and enabled the quick dissemination of project information to the public and advisory committee members (http://www.rebuildingI93.com).

Since the site's launch, CHA has been involved in design and development work to expand the scope of the site and incorporate content management, online community collaboration, email alerts and Adobe Flash-based interactive map tools.

In addition to the publicly available website, CHA implemented a CHAProjects© Project Collaboration web-based application to facilitate document management and collaboration among project participants, and provide end user documentation and training in using the application.

CHA's Technology Solutions team has also been involved in needs analysis and technical consultation on other aspects of the project such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
